    Directions

    From M5

    At M5 Junction 8 turn onto the M50 (21.9 miles). At the end of the M50, Junction 4 (Ross on Wye) turn onto the A49 (0.9 miles). Straight over roundabout for the A40 / then turn right at the roundabout (1.2 miles). Onto the A49 (Go through Harewood End and then(5.5 miles). On to the B4348 sign posted Hay-on-Wye (13.3 miles) Cross the A465 at staggered junction by Shell garage at Allensmore (Locks Garage). Continue along this road until you reach Poston Mill Park on your left hand side. If you get to Peterchurch you have gone too far!

    From the South and Wales

    From Newport M4 – join the A4042 for Abergavenny Junction 25a(18.9 miles). On the outskirts of Abergavenny (approx 18 miles) take the 2nd exit of the roundabout for Monmouth A40 /Hereford A465.  Continue for (17.9 miles) Continue along the A465 to the Shell Garage at Allensmore which is on the left hand side of a staggered crossroads about 6 miles from Pontrilas. Turn left here on the B4348 signed posted to Hay-on-Wye. Continue for about 9 miles until you reach Poston Mill Park on your left hand side. If you get to Peterchurch you have gone too far!

    From the North and Leominster A41

    NB Sat Nav’s may take you on A44 out of Leominster towards Kinnersley, DO NOT go this way, as Bredwardine/Dorstone route is not suitable for tourers.
    Follow the signs for A49 Ross-on-Wye, Abergavenny through Hereford and across the river bridge. At the roundabout ( by Asda supermarket) follow the signs for Abergavenny A465. Middle Lane. ( 1 1.9 miles) Stay on this road (the first two roads signposted Hay are unsuitable for touring vehicles) to the Shell garage at Allensmore (Locks Garage) on a staggered junction. (6 .2 miles) Turn right, on the far side of the garage, B4348 sign posted Hay-on-Wye and continue until you reach Poston Mill park on your left hand side. If you get to Peterchurch you have gone

    From the West A40/A438

    If coming from Brecon on A40 follow signs for Hay-on-Wye A470
    A470 becomes the A438 at Bronllys. (28.9 miles) Continue following signs for Hay-on-Wye onto B4350 at Glasbury. (10.3miles)
    Hay-on-Wye. Turn right at ‘The Blue Boar’ and follow the Bredwardine/Hardwicke road out of the town. B4348. Approx 3 miles turn right for Dorstone, Peterchurch, Ross. (6.4 miles). Take extra care around the corners of Dorstone church the road is very narrow and tight bends. Pass through the village of Peterchurch and after about 1 mile Poston Mill Park will appear on your right hand side.

    Road works are taking place between Kingstone and Thruxton on the B4348 from May 24th to June 13th.
    From May 24th to May 30th the road will be fully closed.
    From May 31st to June 13th the road will be closed between 9am and 4,30pm with two way traffic lights outside of these hours.
    There will be no work taking place over the weekend of May 28th and 29th or June 3rd, 4th and 5th or June 11th and 12th.
    Diversion signs are through Clehonger B4349 from the A465 back to the B4348 on the Peterchurch side of Kingstone Village.
    PLEASE NOTE: THERE ARE SPEED BUMPS THROUGH KINGSTONE ON THE B4349 these can make difficult driving for caravans.
    Otherwise access via this road is good.
